Hit-run van abandoned

A VAN that struck a man and a seven-year-old boy in a hit-and-run crash has been found abandoned.

Police said a white Ford Transit van was involved in a crash with the boy and a 65-year-old-man. The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains in stable condition.
