Fresh Wolves are up for the Cup

RUGBY League has just one focus this weekend... Wembley Stadium!

The final of the world's oldest RL knockout competition takes place this afternoon when Warrington Wolves take on Hull Kingston Rovers in the Challenge Cup Final (kick-off 3pm, live BBC One).

A casual observer might make Hull KR warm favourites to lift the famous old trophy this afternoon for the first time since 1980 when they downed cross-city rivals Hull 10-5.

Rovers sit at the summit of Super League at the moment and since disposing of Catalans Dragons 36-16 in their semi-final four weeks ago, they have continued on their merry way with three more victories including a 31-12 triumph at Warrington a fortnight ago.

Even last weekend, when some pundits were predicting pre-Wembley nerves would make them vulnerable against an in-form St Helens team, they blasted past Paul Wellens' men to win 34-4. (At least one foolish... er... 'pundit' actually predicted a Saints win!)

Head coach Willie Peters has been doing a fantastic job and has made no concessions towards today's massive game in his team selections in the build-up.
