Bunting has accepted he is one of the favourites for the PDC World Darts Championship.The competition gets underway at Alexandra Palace today, and world number one Luke Littler, 18, is the defending champion following his victory over Michael van Gerwen in the 2025 final.
A record 128 players have entered this year's tournament, increasing from the 96 players that featured in last year’s competition.
The Bullet has been a world champion before, winning in the BDO back in 2014, and he made it as far as the semifinals in last year's competition.
“I'm up to World No. 4, so I'm obviously one of the favourites to win the title,” Bunting admitted. “My averages are all stacking up. I'm really confident, I'm playing well.
