We condemn all vandalism but this targeted attack on a school is particularly upsetting

Improvement work on the A82 between Tarbet and Inverarnan remains a priority for the Scottish Government-but no timescale can yet be confirmed.

A report to go before a council committee next week has given an update on progress on the stretch of the road as it continues to seek a preferred option.

However, it is made clear that any works will not take place at the same time as repairs to the Rest and Be Thankful stretch of the A83.

Details of drainage repair work on the A82 between Balloch and Tarbet also feature in the report by a Transport Scotland official.
