Applications now open for new disability payment

Residents in West Dunbartonshire are now able to apply for Pension Age Disability Payment as the scheme is officially rolled out across the country.

The national rollout follows successful pilots in 18 local authority areas, which began in October.

Now, those in West Dunbartonshire who may be eligible are now able to apply following the rollout on April 22.

It is the fifteenth benefit to be delivered by the Scottish Government and it is replacing the UK Government's Attendance Allowance, delivered by the Department for Work and Pensions.
