Social scramble event is 'testament to power of golf to bring people together'

THE county ladies Golf Association hosted a social scramble competition at Rothley Park GC which proved to be a big success.

The event was designed especially for women who had only been playing golf for two years or less, and with handicap indexes ranging from 30.1 to 54.
It attracted nearly 30 enthusiasts from across the county.
Many clubs were represented, including hosts Rothley Park, Birstall, Beedles Lake, Cosby, Glen Gorse, Kirby Muxloe, Longcliffe and Market Harborough.
