Motorist stopped cyclist so cops could arrest him

POLICE officers running after a wanted man on a bicycle were helped by a passing motorist who got out of his car to block his path.

The good Samaritan’s actions ended with 48-year-old Adam Marriott being caught and arrested.

Leicester Magistrates’ Court heard how Marriott had been cycling in Loughborough when police officers on patrol spotted him.

Police wanted to speak to him in relation to a previous matter.
