Maximums for Hurst and Cram as Wizards demolish Desford

NOT for the first time the first result recorded in the Leicester and District League was in Division Five, when Winstanley Wizards V visited Desford to defeat the village's fourth team 9-1

John Hurst and Aiden Oram both recorded maximums while Peter Moores won two, losing to Gemma Hargrave, who has graced this division for many years along with her mother, Gillian Wisdish.

This season they have juniors joining them with Joseph Winsland and Joe Herbert coming so close to taking the doubles on their debut, losing in five.

First result up in Division One saw Electricity beat Knighton Park III by 6-4, thanks mainly to a very good maximum three from Andy LeButt. For KP, Karen Smith and Pawel Szumlanski both captured two and went down very closely in the doubles in a vain attempt to grab a share.
