CIFUENTES IS IMPRESSED WITH THE PROGRESS OF TEENAGE DEFENDER

- By JORDAN BLACKWELL

BADE Aluko is one of "many players who are knocking on the door” of Marti Cifuentes' Leicester City first team, with the manager keen to show the club’s best young talents will get an opportunity.

Eighteen-year-old Aluko, who made his senior debut in the final game of last season, is one of the best prospects coming through at City and has captained the Under-21s this term.

Operating at fullback or centre-back, Aluko impressed greatly alongside more experienced players in preseason and has stood out for the development squad this campaign.

However, because of the sheer number of players in City's squad, a chance to feature for the first team has not materialised.
