Newest Aldi to finally open before Christmas

A NEW Aldi is set to open in North Staffordshire before Christmas.

The supermarket chain will launch 16 stores between Thursday, November 6 and Friday, December 12.
They include a long-awaited branch off The Green in Cheadle. Plans to build a store on the former IAE site were lodged back in 2022 before being given the go ahead in March last year.
An exact opening date is yet to be confirmed but it is expected to be within weeks. It means that shoppers will no longer have to travel to Meir Park or Leek to visit Aldi.
The UK's fourth-largest supermarket is investing £650 million across Britain through its store opening and refurbishment programme in 2025, with each new site creating around 40 jobs.
