THE streets in Dorking with the most and least expensive properties over the last five years have been revealed.

While the average house price in the area is £531,053 according to RightMove, there are eight streets in the postcode area with average prices above £1million, and another eight where the average price will cost you just under £200,000.

These streets were found using a tool by Property Solvers, which tracks the average sold price data from HM Land Registry since 2020.

Dorking boasts a population of around 17,000, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS). It has an illustrious history, with the earliest evidence of human activity in the town going all the way back to Mesolithic and Neolithic periods, and even being named in the Domesday Book of 1086 as the 'Manor of Dorchinges'.

Today, the market town is known for its array of walking routes, being nestled in the Surrey Hills, with some even being named 'best walk in the UK.

The town is also known as the home of National League South side Dorking Wanderers.

The district of Mole Valley, as a whole, also has some high house prices, with a recent RightMove analysis showing that around 22 per cent of properties in the area are priced above the million-pound mark.
