Young people hailed at opening of new £2m 'heart and soul' youth and community centre

A new £2m youth and community centre in the heart of Avenham has been opened by the young people who helped to design it.

Foxton's old base in Knowsley Street was demolished in early 2024 and completely rebuilt into the new state-of-the-art facility include an expansive new kitchen, main hall, games room, wellbeing room, dance studio, roof terrace and more.

The main room is also home to a new mural by artist Shawn Sharpe who is behind the 'Mother' mural in Church Street and many other murals across the centre which is emblazoned with the charity's slogan 'We Are Here' and features nods to the charity's decades of heritage in the area.
