Vandals cut down number of trees in attack on city park

Trees have been chopped down by vandals in a Preston park.

Preston City Council say their parks team were working to clear the trees which were deliberately chopped down in Brookfield Park, in Ribbleton.

The axed trees were left blocking a footpath used by people to cross the park.

A park user, who asked not to be named, said: "I was on my walk through Brookfield Park and noticed three to four trees had been felled.
