The letter by Louis Shawcross (August 27) is shocking. It is riddled with errors, outrageous and false assertions and utter nonsense. It must be exposed as such as it demeans our Government and armed forces.

Shawcross sprinkles his diatribe with claims of treason and genocide, neither of which he understands, and in so doing reveals his gross ignorance of the true meaning of both terms. It also reveals his antisemitism.
His understanding of international relations, terrorism and military affairs is lacking.
