Power cut hits 100s of homes across area

A large number of homes in rural Preston were left without power yesterday due to an 'unexpected incident'.
-
SP Electricity North West said that 1,157 homes were affected by the outage in Grimsargh, Goosnargh, Ribbleton and Whittingham.
Engineers were scrambled to carry out repairs and the power was restored by mid-morning.
