As a herbalist, I treasure the joy that each season brings, so I have a few tricks up my sleeve for combating the darkness and beating back the gloom. Warm light is my first trick. Candles, lamps, firelight and even fairy lights come out once the clocks go back. No harsh overhead lights for me. The flicker of warm light is soothing and can prepare us for rest.
