Longridge Community Hospital's sudden closure has been raised in the House of Commons by Ribble Valley MP Maya Ellis.

The inpatient ward at Longridge Community Hospital was closed because of fire-safety concerns last week. Earlier in 2025 its 15-bed unit was reduced to five beds, after inspections revealed the two-storey building posed risk in evacuations — especially for older or less mobile patients.
