Bridge widening to now see three months of temp lights

Temporary traffic lights will now be needed for nearly three months as the work to widen a bridge between Preston and Longridge takes place.

Lancashire County Council has confirmed Skew Bridge will see temporary traffic lights put in place from Monday.

Initially the bridge widening scheme was due to see lights in place from mid-September to mid-October, but the county council say they now need the additional two months of lights 'to control traffic around the barriers'.
