Reveal Names Of Your 4 MLAs Who Voted For BJP: Lone To Omar
Kashmir Observer
|OCTOBER 28, 2025 ISSUE
Peoples Conference (PC) Chairman Sajad Gani Lone on Monday accused the ruling National Conference (NC) of striking a “secret deal” with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the recent Rajya Sabha elections, alleging that the party facilitated the BJP's victory for the fourth seat.
Addressing a press conference in Srinagar, Lone cited NC president Dr. Farooq Abdullah’s own remarks as evidence of backchannel talks between the two parties. “If there wasn't a deal, why did Farooq Sahib himself admit that there were parleys between his party and the BJP regarding Rajya Sabha seats?” he asked.
Lone questioned the voting pattern, alleging that 31 votes were deliberately cast for candidate number three to make it easier for the BJP to secure a win. “If NC was confident of sweeping all four seats, why didn't they offer even one to the Congress? Was there an understanding—something like, give two, take two?” he asked.
