Railway Staff Rushes Woman To Hospital After Delivery

Railway staff at Banihal Railway Station assisted a woman passenger who delivered a baby on board a train today and arranged for the immediate transfer of the mother and child to the nearby hospital.
The woman, a resident of Sumbar village, was on board Train No. 64651 (Sangaldan-Baramulla) travelling with her husband when she developed severe labour pain as the train reached Banihal. With the help of female co-passengers, the delivery took place inside the coach.
