Police Books Four Drug Peddlers Under PIT NDPS Act

In the relentless crackdown against drug trafficking and dismantling the illegal narcotics network, Srinagar Police on Tuesday said to have booked four notorious drug peddlers under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (PIT-NDPS Act).
These drug peddlers namely Tawfeeq Ahmad Khan S/o Mohammad Ayoub Khan R/o Shangulipora Noorbagh, Aaqib Mushtaq Kenoo S/o Mushtaq Ahamd Kanoo R/o Pamposh Colony Noorbagh, Imran Ahmad Bhat S/o Aijaz Ahmad Bhat R/o Guzerbal Noorbagh and Faizan Rashid Wani S/o Ab. Rashid Wani R/o Palpora Noorbagh have been booked under the PIT-NDPS Act after obtaining the formal detention orders from Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir on the basis of dossiers prepared by Srinagar police against them, a police spokesman said in a statement issued to Kashmir Observer.
