A group of climate activists and transparency advocates sat down with Budgam's new deputy commissioner on Thursday. They brought a gift — a cypress plant —and a heavy agenda.
Dr. Raja Muzaffar Bhat led the delegation from the J&K Climate Action Group and the JK RTI Movement to meet Athar Amir Khan, who recently took charge as the district's top administrator. The activists formally welcomed Khan and handed him a memorandum outlining their concerns about environmental damage across Budgam.
