City to Get First State-of-the-Art School for Specially-Abled Students

In a landmark step towards inclusive education, Srinagar is set to get its first state-of-the-art school exclusively designed for students with special needs by 2027.

The ambitious project, being implemented by the Jammu and Kashmir Social Welfare Department, will cater primarily to children with visual and hearing impairments and is expected to serve students from across the Kashmir Valley.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, on Monday said that several key social welfare projects are currently underway in the district, with the 'Abhinandan State-of-the-Art School' being among the most significant initiatives.
