GREENHALGH'S MEN LOST THEIR SEMI-FINAL 2-0 TO BURGESS HILL

MARGATE'S season ended in play-off disappointment on Tuesday night after they lost their semi-final at Burgess Hill Town.

It was a quick start for Margate saw a free-kick on the edge of the box, but player-manager Ben Greenhalgh just curled it wide.

In the 25th minute, Margate keeper Tom Wray produced a brilliant save to deny Jay Beckford at the near post, but the linesman's flag did go up in the end so it wouldn't have counted.

Just three minutes later Greenhalgh delivered a cross towards the back post, Tom Derry headed it across goal, but it was scrambled away by Burgess Hill.
