NEIGHBOURS legend Alan Fletcher said he has learned how to deal with grief through spirituality, but could never imagine a life without his adoring wife.

The soap actor, 68, played Dr Karl Kennedy for 31 years on the iconic Australian show.

It was announced the long-running programme will air its final episode later this year, allowing Alan to take his musical talents international.

He played at The Sugar Club in Dublin earlier this week.

And while the performer said touring the UK and Ireland has been his "most ambitious" journey yet, having his wife Jennifer Hansen join him is the best part.

Speaking to Venetia Quick's The Grief Pod, Alan said: "That's what makes it so special, when Neighbours ended she travelled with me.
