Boy, 16, dies in tractor crash

GARDAI are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was killed in a road crash yesterday.

Emergency services were called to the scene following reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a tractor which occurred on the R458 at Bunnahow, Co Clare, before 2pm.

Despite the best efforts of the medical personnel, the sole occupant of the tractor, a 16-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
