Tributes to victims as road toll is 7 in 6 days

TRIBUTES have been paid to two women and a man who died in separate car crashes.

It has been a week of carnage on the roads with seven deaths in the just six days.

A pedestrian died in hospital on Sunday after she was hit by a car on the N76 at Callan, Waterford, three days before.

She has been named locally as Croatian national Jelena Kuzic, who was in her 30s.

Her friend Marijana Kucina said her loss has created a void "that cannot be filled".

She set up an online fundraiser on GoFundMe to help Jelena's family with funeral costs. Marijana added: "Jelena was not just a beloved daughter, sister, and friend.
