Shane's praise for 'exceptional' Hannon

RETIRING Limerick legend Declan Hannon has been described as an “exceptional talent” by Shane O'Donnell.

Hannon brought the curtain down on his inter-county career earlier this week having lifted the Liam MacCarthy Cup on a record five occasions.

O'Donnell said: “Declan is a phenomenal person outside of hurling as well but he's obviously an exceptional hurler and what he's achieved, especially captaining the team, I don't know if it'll ever be matched.
