Clancy keen to climb up the ladder for club & country
AOIBHEANN CLANCY was at a crossroads a few years back, as she began to catch the eye of then-Ireland manager Vera Pauw.
One route would take her across the water, straight into professional football.
The other? Stay at home, get a college degree and park the pro ambitions for a while.
Now that the end of her Health and Performance Science course in UCD is in sight - she has one more year after this - the 21-year-old has no regrets as she reflects on her decision.
She made the move from Wexford to Shelbourne ahead of the 2025 campaign and is on course to add to the one senior Ireland cap she won back in November 2022.
