Quirky humour & style make this stand out
Irish Daily Star
|November 15, 2025
THERE'S a lovely, bonkers humour and off-kilter style to the opening design of The Outer Worlds 2 that differentiates it from other space RPGs.
It all goes pear-shaped quite quickly and you're soon in shooter mode, firing off all kinds of wicked and wonderful weapons at bullet-sponge baddies, watching the numbers over their heads slowly tick down with each hit before they die off.
We've had various Mass Effects, Starfield and No Man's Sky - all great in their own ways but also quite straight-laced.
This odd title doubles down on the original's funny bone-scratching role-play to deliver a better first-person experience in the outer worlds of the solar system.
