McGregor says unity is the only way forward

IT'S been a long, cold, wet, miserable winter but the dark storm clouds have been menacingly hanging over Celtic Park all season.

And Callum McGregor admits the atmospheric pressure is now having a major impact on the entire club.

The Hoops captain has tried his best to block out the noise, shield his squad from the anger and angst around the under-fire board and the chaos that's unfolded off the pitch this term.

But McGregor can only hold back the tide for so long.

There's been the chants and banners, the protests inside and outside Celtic Park, the fan bans and the match disruptions.

It's been impossible to ignore - and it has taken its toll. There are experienced campaigners in the Hoops dressing room who might be shocked at the waves of negativity. And there are new faces in the dressing room who must feel like plus-ones at a family wedding feud.
