'Nancy needs solutions and not gimmicks'

RYAN STEVENSON has warned Wilfried Nancy to ditch his green trainers and tactics board if he wants to be taken seriously as Celtic's new manager.

Former Hearts star Stevenson (below) insists the Frenchman made the worst possible debut on Saturday as the champions crashed to a defeat in the top-of-the-table clash with the Tynecastle club.

Former MLS coach Nancy took to the pitch in Celtic coloured Adidas shoes ahead of kickoff before grappling with a mini tactics board during the second half as the visitors romped towards a 2-1 win to open up a three-point gap at the Premiership summit.

And hard-hitting Stevo has urged the new man to ditch the gimmicks immediately or risk damaging his own reputation beyond all repair.
