Celebrity SAS star Rebecca on the aftermath of 'fling' with Beckham

- BY MARK JEFFERIES

REBECCA Loos says that after she went public about her alleged affair with David Beckham, her life became hell while he was treated like a sporting god.

She also seemed to call the former England football captain a coward for his handling of the fallout.

Rebecca claimed in a newspaper article in 2004 that the pair had a four-month fling the previous year when she was his personal assistant.

David, who has been married to Spice Girls star Victoria since 1999, dismissed the claims as "ludicrous" at the time, but never mounted a legal challenge to the story or any subsequent interviews.

Rebecca has been grilled on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins about the alleged affair.

On her TV comeback this week on the Channel 4 series, she said: "I wanted to show people who I am... I was quite nervous as to how the others would perceive me."

Rebecca, 48, added of the alleged fling: "It felt unjust that my life was pretty hell and his life kept going and blossoming.

"I've been accused of being a liar. I've had a lifetime of opinions around me. I've definitely developed thick skin."
