Supermodel talks age, beauty and reflects on amazing career
STILL unmistakable, original supermodel Cindy Crawford turns 60 today.
Now married to businessman Rande Gerber, following her divorce from actor Richard Gere, she's mum to Kaia, 24, and Presley, 26.
Ahead of her milestone birthday, Cindy talked candidly to OK! about age, beauty, past dreams and how she aims to embrace life in her 60s.
How do you feel about turning 60?
I embrace it. When I turned 50, I wrote a book about how aging can be scary and daunting for a woman, especially if you happen to be in the public eye.
I learned to embrace it then and I embrace it now.
What would you say was the turning point for you?
I think just coming to terms with getting older and understanding that everyone feels a little bit insecure.
We still live in a very ageist world, which is hard, but at the same time we tend to be so self-critical too. I don't know why that is but you have to push past that, no matter what age you are.
You are a beauty icon to many, but who is yours?
My mom is definitely my number one beauty icon because she just has this natural beauty about her. And then in terms of a look, Raquel Welch.
