'I couldn't take back sex claim.. it's the truth'

A TEENAGER who alleges her older cousin sexually assaulted her has refused to accept a claim that once she told her mother about the allegation it was something she could not take back.

The complainant, cross-examined via video link, became upset and said she didn't take back the allegation because "it is the truth....and it is still the truth today".

She didn't accept another suggestion that she had "feelings of envy and jealousy" towards her cousin and felt that she was "more of a favourite" with their grandparents.
