Webinars and toolkit to help reduce waste

FOR billions of people around the globe, sport is the one thing that adds a shot of belonging and a little joy into their lives.

But even its biggest days are under threat from the triple planetary crisis posed by climate change, biodiversity collapse and pollution.

From a lack of snow for the Winter Olympics to the dangers now posed by World Cups, sport is often on the frontline of the environmental wars.

But it is also on the frontline of leadership in communities around the country.

Many clubs in Ireland are joining the movement towards a more sustainable future for themselves and hoping to lead the rest of us too in efforts to curb emissions in line with Ireland's climate goals.

Now a new initiative backed by the GAA, FAI and IRFU will also help the national push back against one of our biggest challenges: waste pollution.
