€150m Paddy's Day hol splurge is 17% increase
CONSUMERS in Ireland spent 17% more this St Patrick's Day weekend compared to last year.
Revolut has revealed that over €150million was shelled out by Irish customers with 6.8m transactions between March 15-17.
Hospitality businesses unsurprisingly saw the biggest boost over the three days, with a 10% rise in card payments. This amounted to a 15.5% increase in total spending compared to March 16-18, 2024.
