LIVE AID STAR BOB SLAMS ‘DISGRACE' OF KIDS' HUNGER HELL

- BY KEITH FALKINER

LIVE Aid founder Bob Geldof has described Israel's intentional starvation of the people of Gaza as a “despicable disgrace”.

The Boomtown Rats frontman, who helped raise millions for starving children in Ethiopa 40 years ago, said the images of dying and emaciated kids in Gaza was haunting him.

Speaking on RTE's PrimeTime last night, Geldof said: "For the Israeli people to allow this to happen in their name is a despicable disgrace.

"How have they allowed themselves to become so debased? Have they become oblivious to their own horrific past?

"I've spent much time with survivors of the Holocaust; brave, strong people and you just couldn't believe the horrors of their stories.

"Were they alive now they would possibly die of shame.

"The shame of this for Israel is yet another historic burden they may have to carry. But they could stop it.”

Geldof has called on the people of Israel to rise up against their government to put an end to the genocide in Gaza.

DISGUST

He added: "Their government is clearly out of control and their army probably as well.

"The only possible way to stop this is for the Israeli people to rise up in disgust as the rest of the world is.
