Droopys will not drop off pace in Cork

THE 2025 Bar One Racing Irish Greyhound Laurels continues at Curraheen Park tonight - with Droopys Patriot selected to complete a hat-trick of heat wins in the opening quarterfinal of the Cork classic.

Robert Gleeson's powerhouse returned an emphatic defeat of Unanimous Leo for the second time in the Laurels when posting a brilliant 28.09 for the 525-yards last week.

Droopys Patriot is drawn in trap three now and faces an examination on the run to the corner with Faypoint Harvey ideally drawn on the fence.

The latter Graham Holland charge ran a cracker in defeat to Ballymac Setanta from the same draw last time and can command the rails throughout.

However, a pitch upsides Faypoint Ranger at any stage before the closing bends can see 7/2 outright shot Droopys Patriot remain unbeaten.

Ballymac Setanta was already a rising star before commencing his Laurels tilt with back-to-back victories but has soared yet higher with stunning performances on the Cork circuit.
