Latest title in reboot is monstrously good fun

- With Lloyd Coombes

AS WITH both prior Doom reboot titles, Doom and Doom: Eternal, you're stepping into the colossal boots of The Slayer, the part-man, part-god, all rage 'hero' tasked with tearing through the minions of hell.

The Dark Ages is a prequel to the last two games, though, and so this is a very different Slayer than the one you might be expecting. For one, he begins his journey shorn of his free will, his humanity diminished by a technologically advanced faction that reserves him like a nuke when all else fails.
