FRANCE'S Axelle Berthoumieu has apologised to Aoife Wafer for biting her in Sunday's Women's Rugby World Cup quarterfinal at Sandy Park.
The flanker (inset top) will sit out the remainder of the competition after her clash with Wafer (inset bottom), although she has had her 12-game ban reduced to nine after an appeal.
