Luke's sleepless nights over cup captaincy
LUKE Donald has confessed that the role of Europe's Ryder Cup captain is causing him a fair bit of “anxiety" as he gears up his squad for a spirited defence at Bethpage Black come September.
With just 157 days left until Donald's European side squares off against Keegan Bradley's Team USA in New York, they are hellbent on hanging onto the glory they seized with flair in Rome back in 2023.
Donald, who announced Jose Maria Olazabal as vice-captain on Wednesday, stands among the elite few to captain a Ryder Cup team more than once.
