RTE TO BE GRILLED ON €3.6M I.T. SYSTEM

RTE will be dragged before the Oireachtas Media Committee to discuss a botched €3.6million IT system.

Media Minister Patrick O'Donovan said yesterday the issue should have been disclosed when the national broadcaster attended numerous committee meetings about financial mismanagement two years ago.

RTE confirmed it intended to replace “five disparate, legacy systems that were used for Finance and HR, which were at or near the end of life” following the sale of land in 2018.
