Probe into protester punch cop

GERMAN police say they are probing whether an officer acted “proportionally” when he punched an Irish person during a Gaza protest.

Shocking footage has emerged of Dubliner Kitty O'Brien, 25, being punched twice in the face in Berlin.

The reported culprit is told by the victim: “This is on you, there's blood on your hands.”

A Berlin Police source said the watchdog “has been instructed to determine whether any aspects of the police response may be disproportionate or of criminal relevance”.
