'Norway we'll let subs roam our waters...'

BRITISH and Norwegian warships will hunt Russian subs to counter the rising threat from Moscow.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer will be joined by Norway's PM Jonas Støre today to reinforce a new defence pact to patrol North Atlantic waters.

The leaders are visiting RAF Lossiemouth in Moray, Scotland, to meet P-8 maritime patrol aircraft crews who have been tracking the rising numbers of Russian vessels in British seas.

The delivery of up to 13 advanced Type 26 antisubmarine ships, at least five of which will be Norwegian, is expected to begin in 2030.
