Blues coach to job hunt in ‘27

JACQUES Nienaber admits he will be looking for another job when his Leinster contract runs out in two years.

The Blues head coach arrived at the province shortly after leading South Africa to back-to-back World Cup crowns in 2023.

And yesterday he didn't exactly deny the possibility of a Springbok reunion with Rassie Erasmus for a third tilt at the global title.

“My contract with Leinster runs until the end of the 2027 season,” he said. “That is June or July. That is when my contract finishes. That is common knowledge.”

But when he was asked what happens after that, he gave an answer that lit up every newsroom from Dublin to Pretoria.
