More jail time for Georgian ex-president

A COURT in Georgia has handed another jail term to ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili, extending the total time he'll serve behind bars to 12 years.
-
Saakashvili, who was leader from 2004-2013, had previously been sentenced on charges of abuse of power and embezzlement that he and his defense have rejected as politically motivated.
On Monday, the court sentenced him to four years and six months on charges of illegal border crossing.
