Money is there.. just not for us

THAT forty per cent of parents should need to borrow money to feed or clothe their kids in one of the richest countries in the world is shocking.

This should be the stuff of history, of another Ireland where unemployment was rife and emigration the only real option.

Yet it is sadly happening right now, amid house prices at an all-time high and an unprecedented number of Irish millionaires.

They are the new 'have-nots' however.

Many of them have a job, but they are still unable to make ends meet, as inflation continues to soar without end and wages stagnate.
