Geaney grabs latest of winner's to break St Brigid's hearts and complete the clean sweep
MIKEY GEANEY was the toast of Daingean Uí Chúis as he kicked the winning point deep in added time of extra-time to deny St Brigid's in an enthralling All-Ireland Club SFC final at Croke Park.
It was the second time in three seasons the Roscommon men have lost out in the decider and this one will sting even more than their 2024 loss to a Conor Glass-inspired Glen side.
History is written by the winners, but Ruaidhrí Fallon (inset) didn't deserve to be on the losing team after delivering one of the all-time great performances in Croke Park, scoring 1-6 from play from wing-back.
His two-pointer brought the game to extra-time and his second in the first period established a three-point lead for Anthony Cunningham's men.
Daingean Uí Chúis are nothing if not game. Led by Kerry stars Tom O'Sullivan and Paul Geaney, they fought back and came out on top thanks to back-to-back points from O'Sullivan and Mikey Geaney.
