MARESCA EYED IF PEP ENZ CITY STAY

ENZO MARESCA is a top target for Manchester City if Pep Guardiola opts to walk away this summer.

Guardiola's contract at the Etihad runs until June 2027 but the City hierarchy are understood to be making contingency plans should the Spaniard decide to leave after a decade with the club. And Maresca (left) is rated highly by the City powerbrokers.

He worked with the club's Under-23s before returning to Manchester to become Guardiola's assistant following a brief spell as Parma boss.

Should Guardiola decide not to see out the final year of his deal, a move for Maresca (inset) would certainly receive his seal of approval.
